Fashion's latest - "Chaos to Couture" at Met ball !!

To upkeep yourself of the latest buzz on fashion, here is a little piece on the coming up glitzy affair right for you , we all love that , don't we ? And all the more when it has punk.

Accessory designer Charlotte Olympia has teamed up with jeweler Tom Binns to create a special collection for the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition

The limited-edition pieces will include shoes and bags, and will take punk fashion as their inspiration - so think platform heels, studs and neon flourishes.

The inaugural gala benefit for the exhibition, the Met ball, will take place on 6 May, and promises to be one of the glitziest affairs on the New York social calendar.

The show will highlight the origins of the punk movement in London and New York, and chart the connections between punk fashion on the streets and how it inspired haute couture and ready-to-wear fashions on the catwalk.

With umpteen designs on display, original punk looks will be juxtaposed with designer pieces that were inspired by punk fashions, including safety pins, torn fabrics and bleached denim.

This year's hosts include actress Rooney Mara and designer Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, both known for their gothic sensibility, while Beyonce, who wore Givenchy last year, has been announced as a special guest host.
